Mayor Alex Acuzar of Samal has finally found a ready market in Thailand food firm for cassava, a boon for thousands of cassava growers in this fast progressing town.

Jay Lat, municipal administrator, said the deal, shall be under a contract with the food firm and the cassava growers with the assistance of local agriculture office.

The Municipal Government of Samal has been earnestly providing technical assistance to cassava growers through the agriculture office.

“The mayor wants to really help the cassava growers of Samal with no string attached by having their produce reach the right market,” Lat pointed out.
